Multiplayer games are games where lot of people come together in a virtual environment and spend time together combating hurdles , competing against each other, teaming up. Though all the field games too involve more than one player but those games are not referred to as multiplayer games. Generally multiplayer games are solely in reference to electronic media games.

Multi player games lead to development of lots of social as well as interpersonal skills. At times the players are pitched against each other and fight for the survival of the best and at other times they automatically form a team and fight a situation under a self motivated leader. It teaches the art and skill of social interaction.

There are games known as massively multiplayer online role playing games which involve the players to act and think like the virtual character whose role they have adorned. The multiplayer games can be played between someone sitting miles away from each other by using a common server. The player can also choose the category based on his skills and competency level.

Notwithstanding the fact that once the player can modifies things after prolonged use; these multiplayer games provide the excitement one is looking for and are here to stay. In all these games are a bundle of fun and enjoyment with all social elements. Pros and cons can be attached to everything in life but technically inspired social fun in its own unique way brings the world together.
